Isoscapes 2011 will be held at Purdue University's Discovery Park, which provides a modern meeting space for a range of conference activities as well as access to Purdue's computer network and IsoMAP support personnel. The meeting rooms in the Burton Morgan center for Entrepreneurship are an easy 10 minute walk from the conference hotel.
The sister cities of Lafayette and West Lafayette are located along the Wabash river in nortwestern Indiana, approximately midway between Indianapolis Indiana and Chicago Illinois. The two cities together have a population of just under 100,000. Purdue University is a major cultural feature of the region, and during the summer and fall months there is always something going on in the community. There are a number of opportunities for outdoor recreation on and along the Wabash and its tributaries. The weather in late September is normally very plesant, with average highs in the low-70's (23 C), lows aroud 50 (10 C), and relatively little thunderstorm and tornado activity!
